FRSC DSSP Portal Training For Driving Schools in Nigeria

By 9 18

On the 16th and 17th of November 2015, the Federal Road Safety Corps organised trainingĀ for the driving school instructors in the whole of Nigeria on how to use the newly deployed portal, as the effective utilization of the portal will curb the racketeering of the National Drivers Licence and improve the quality of the drivers on Nigerian Road targeted at reducing the number road traffic crashes (RTC) on Nigerian roads and restoring the credibility of our National Drivers Licence both home and abroad; It was a three (3) days intensive training and it was very educating.

If this portal is allowed to work as designed, no fresh application of drivers licence can be done without having to go through a driving school approved by the Federal Road Safety Corps under the Driving School Standardization Program (DSSP).

The Frsc driving website is very fantastic and interesting,at least it give us a sense of belonging and relevance in the society,in fact i am very proud of the job now and promised to contribute my own quota and make sure the program is sustain.I am also imploring the Frsc to start arresting and punishing any learners that driving without attending any approved and accredited driving school and more importantly those drivers that driving without a valid drivers license.

Is a welcome development, but the system is very slow in logging and updating. I think Frsc should do something about it.

I am so happy to see this working in Nigeria now, though FRSC have a lot to still do to sustain this,
And it is no doubt that its going to reduce crashes in Nigeria and increase IGR for Government too. Here in United Kingdom where I am for now, they are well organised, they practice safety in everything almost 100%
And with the support this great Association of Driving Instructors of Nigeria (ADIN) which I belong is giving to improve safety on Nigeria road in Particular and the world at large.
Safety on Nigeria road is going to improve speedingly
    Up ADIN, Accident free!

The program is now a failure as the portal is not accessible by the driving schools.

It is very unfortunate that while some people are working tirelessly to improve this country through formidable policies, some are just In the corner of their room looking to bring it down
while the official payment for the driving school is #5,000 some people are charging as high as #8,000,#10,000……and they will upload into the portal with preference to your payment! Its just unfortunate
